Minerals West Coast Manager Patrick Phelps was invited to speak at the 2024 Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM) conference.
Patrick’s presentation focused on the need to tell the story of mining and minerals through both a practical and evidence-based lens, as well as through the lens of the people involved. He argued that ignoring the humanity in mining significantly reduces the industry’s ability to connect with everyday Kiwis.
